Psychiatric drugs causing brain dysfunction

A family member

I would like to point out my observation of my son Alex’s medication history over one year which I think is important to understand what happened with Alex. And which has been ignored by all doctors.

First, Alex used ‘Adderall’. As you know, that drug is a brand name of amphetamine salts-based medication used for attention deficit disorder and narcolepsy.

Second, Alex used ‘Seroquel’ (Quetiapine). One study has shown: “A small number of children, teenagers, and young adults (up to 24 years of age) who took antidepressants ('mood elevators') such as Quetiapine during clinical studies became suicidal (thinking about harming or killing oneself or planning or trying to do so). Children, teenagers, and young adults who take antidepressants to treat depression or other mental illnesses may be more likely to become suicidal than children, teenagers, and young adults who do not take antidepressants to treat these conditions.”

(Alex took these drugs without consultation with doctors, from his friends.)

These drugs were taken by Alex before his first episode. His hospitalization was about one year ago and after he was “diagnosed “with “mental illness” although those psychiatric drugs caused his brain dysfunction.

Next drugs he used was Respidol and Zyprexa. The Zyprexa is causing him more brain dysfunction like Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome and symptom like Parkinson’s disease and catatonia syndrome.

Isn’t it a bit ironic that all the folks who are doing psychiatry bashing have no proposed alternatives to medication?

Psychiatric diagnoses are not genuinely medical, they are not based on biological defects or disorders and there are no objective tests. Now after experience with Alex I am 100 per cent sure that psychiatric drugs are causing Alex’s brain dysfunction, not mysterious illness.

There is a lack of informed consent for medications, therapeutic technique, or procedure. Emotional manipulation, misinformation and also manipulation of my family by Washtenaw county workers are all issues.
